Not much to report from the land of Provo. I just finished the current seasons of Breaking Bad, wow intense. Breaking Bad is such an awesome concept of a high school chemistry teacher cooking “perfect” meth. Man sorta sad though, drugs suck.

Finally got my journal/sketchbook/idea book. I like it a lot it’s all leather and neat-o, not sure how to describe it I should have just not talked about it ha.

We need to stop putting the word comparison to use. So what if someone is better at something than us, everyone is different and all has their individual strengths and weaknesses. I know it’s hard to not use comparison, but just don’t let it get you down honestly. Lets turn comparison into compassion? yeah? yeah.

I feel with new CDs come joy and fear, cause what if your favorite band betrays what you hold so precious. Also a good thing to remember is that I think that a band should never be the same as the other CDs, they need to evolve. A good example is Brand New, all the CDs are different they have released, but all equally well worth a listen to.

Sundance has been going on up here, and I have not attended one single show, sad? I say yes.

I need to keep playing the harmonica.

I went to the state dance comp here at UVU for all the high schools in Utah, and I hate the establishment they have. I just have never been a fan of high school dance. I respect the girls, I respect the coaches, I respect that it gives teens something to do, Just not a fan. I was there to see some sweet girls that do not dance though, good ole Sweet D and Sammy, oh and a 4 seconds worth of Risa. Run on sentences rock.

Here is proof how evil the series Twilight is, I wouldn’t listen to Vampire Weekend when they first came out cause I thought they had Vampires in their name to attract attention because of Twilight, silly of me I know. That is how bad Twilight is. ANYHOW I love this band they always cheer me up, put me into a mood to ya know… live? If that makes sense. If I am happy I choose stuff like this to listen to, so therefore its one of my bands for the soundtrack of my life when I’m happy

So I know my posts are faltering, it’s that stupid WoW…

Anyhow I actually have some topics to talk about.

First of all is the fact of miscommunications within relationships or just male and female. We talked about this in my anthropology class today. Women and men communicate different it is a fact, women like to express their feelings or talk about their day, guys just like to get to the point talk in a business like way if that makes sense. I am not being sexist by the way, don’t take offense where offense is not meant. Women when have been stressed out or have a hard day like to talk about there day, and a mans response is usually what she should do, by him telling her what to do it causes friction or issues. I am posting this because I have had this problem cause I do what I said the man does. I am not in any way shape or form telling you how to live your life, this is how I care, and please remember this so you won’t think I’m being a jerk cause honestly thats how I show I care.

Little of a rant sorry and I really sucked at explaining it like the professor did.

Also when you get mad at someone for something had not control over, that is stupid. An example is when I saw a man freak out on a bus driver for being late when she had no control on traffic or the bust in front of her schedule who held it up. Just be kind to people.

I am currently reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. It is a good book so far, really brings up the question of  even if science proved there was a big bang, there would still be a question of why which shows me that maybe we just can’t prove it all and need to leave it at that.

Today was a good day, made a bus driver a little upset for entering the wrong door (door is in no way marked that you don’t enter and both open when a bus pulls up so… yeah) Also Played some WoW on terrible internet so… not much happened there.

Also speaking of terrible internet it took me an hour of battling between Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and even my VMwarefusion windows 98 Internet explorer to get the lessons for learning the harmonic which I payed for. This man who is teaching this is pretty much a genius with harmonica though check out his website.

Anyhow the battle to get my paid for lesson was sooo frustrating. I wanted to scream at the computer all day and all night.

Also got told in Humanities 1010 I cannot take notes on my laptop anymore… sad right?

A lot of crazy questions came up today in Anthropology which I am not going to blog about because there a little intense… but man got my brain thinking.

So far the book is going okay I guess… I’ll probably rewrite it a lot. Kelsie wants to know about it, but i wont share

So I realized last night that music is my medication. I was not very happy last night sorta just down and out, but I put on some Elliott Smith and it made it work fantastic. I mellowed out got my mind back on track and was okay, Music is truly a beautiful amazing thing. If you disagree I fight you.

So today took my portugués test, it went well… I think.

Something I said to Kelsie today I realized was not just rambling words, it is a solid truth “The key to living is to have good music” (okay it’s not exactly what I said cause I can’t remember it, but it’s dang close.)

I also bought a new harmonica made by Hohner, type is a Big River Harp and in the key of C, so thats fun! I am now in full swing trying to learn the blues harp, it’s a very complex situation.

FYI I said I was playing WoW well my Realm is The Underbog, Chars are Grains, Cazzaa and Samsonbrock. Favorite name out of those are Grains… cause he is undead and what does a vegetarian zombie want? grains. ha right?

Well I am going to actually start writing that book of mine, Tchau.

Why do I even keep a blog? No idea. Thinks It’s so I don’t go insane… to soon.

So got a new addiction, yes it is WoW, but really I have always loved it. I don’t wanna play it as bad as I thought I would though, just on occasion.

Currently reading the book Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane it is well worth your time. It is one of those books I cannot put down. Really has some twists and turns. Also will be a movie soon, sweet.

Music really amazes me, it is almost like a speech, it moves people to do stuff. It is just amazing.

I wish I could pick up guitar again… if only to play the blues though, thats what really hits me hard is the blues. I got a harmonica though and its a blasty blast.

Not much to post about today. Sorry.

So right at this moment I am watching the TV series called Firefly, I saw the pilot and I haven serenity, but my goodness why did this store get canceled. I love this show so much. My good golly gosh, thats how good it is.

So today I finished my book, and now am moving on to the book Shutter Island it is by Dennis Lehane and is becoming a movie featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.

By the way, under Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio is my favorite.

First of all, Haiti, I don’t have any links or anything, google it or something, they need it 100% more than I do. I am so blessed.

Today was the rushed feeling day. Feels like it has gone on for soooo long. Thing the main reason was the Bus, finally figured that way of transportation out, thank goodness.

I really like the bus, it reminds me of Boston.

So when on the bus, I love to listen to Penelope’s Theme by Nathan Johnson from Brothers Bloom OST, Makes things work so well.

Also listening to Mad World by Michael Andrews from the Donnie Darko OST really fits any time your around strangers or a lot of commotion, I love it.

Anthropology stuff.

Difference between monkeys and primates is thumbs and tails.

You learn and retain things when there is a emotional attachment.

Enculturation – When the older generation teachers people underneath them. When they segregate “special” kids they do not have the opportunities to learn the culture the proper way. That is a MASSIVE problem. They need to integrate “special” kids into school etc so they can learn from society and figure out what the “norms”. This really sickens me almost. I guess I have never really thought about It, but there is still segregation today with how they section off “special” kids… and people wonder why they don’t know how to function in society, we never offer a lot of them a chance to figure it out and learn how to.

Off topic of Anthropology, but I really been thinking a lot on the importance of  human life and etc, some people have no idea of the things happening in Haiti and thats freaks me out. People just like you and I have been deeply affected by a natural disaster from death to loss of land, we should care. seriously.

Thinking about majoring in something like Anthropology or straight up Anthropology.
