It’s always been awhile.
So lately I haven’t really been watching much stuff, really I have more or less just been getting back into a deep love with music.
I recently went to Warped Tour in SLC, where I saw a few of my inspiring artists play such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Dropkick Murphys, and Every Time I Die. I have been thinking a lot about the music scene that I wish I could be in and I wonder If I would be one of the artists who DEP calles a poser. By no means would I ever make music just to please the masses and to make money, but I call myself a metal head, but adore the blues and want to play the blues. I think a reason I cannot play metal exactly is that it takes a group of talented musicians and I feel I cannot compete with that kind of skill, not that blues is really any easier.
Random sorry.
Read this article. (thank you Kevin Lopez for this)
Give me something to break. Seriously.
It really makes you think upon the music scene.
Also at Warped I met up with a old friend, goodness she is fantastic
So I am looking to create a band, or anything really I just have a desire to make music and share the process with someone, honestly people lets get together and make some tunes!
Currently listening to:
Poison The Well
PTW has a been a massive influence upon me. Their music is very emotional and they play true to who they are. I cannot get enough of their style and the way he conveys emotion through his scream.
Also
The Dillinger Escape Plan
DEP is AMAZING, they are true originality in the music scene. They don’t care if other bands make money by doing the same rifts and 808 over their beats, these guys put 110% of love into your their music and 130% into their shows. If you ever have a chance to see DEP live, do it you will be mind blown.
